This conference explored recent epistemological and methodological developments in the child well-being field. In particular, the normativity of the concept of well-being, how children’s subjective understandings and experiences of well-being can be integrated into research, the value of multi-national perspectives and the challenges in undertaking qualitative research on young people’s understanding of well-being from a multi-national perspective.
